My Search

I have been searching for a long time,
something I am missing in my life,
I hear you whispering your songs in the blowing autumn leaves,
I see you playing hide and seek with me in the fluffy wandering clouds.

Sometimes I see momentary brightness in my dreams,
I see your figure moving like a ray of hope in the bright sunny days,
I envision your smile filling my heart with warmth in the light soaking rains,
I feel your presence giving me a will to live in the dark and dreary nights.

I searched for you all over the town,
I thought I would find you in the miracles of cyberspace,
I wandered looking for you in temples and chuches,
I thought I might even find you amongst our friends and relatives.

May be you are always very close to me,
In searching every corner, I forget to look inside me,
when I seek earnestly, I discover,
you are waiting for me in my heart, as always, forever.

Flesh

as delicate as petals arching

before they wither.

Her skin

as fair as the cloud-

sequined sky

stripped of dawn; her hair

the intensity of the night

devoid of stellar mockery

and lunar pride. She moves

with the grace of a solitary

ripple on a lake,

at one with the wind

to lament the passing

of rain. Falling like dew

from burdened leaves, her tears

unnerve

the ground that cradles

every impression left

behind. She walks

(she crawls) her last

while the earth trembles

(and the heavens grieve)

at the thought of such

exquisite feast

its advent signifies
the gradation of defiance,

          breeding vagaries of abstraction
          as stimuli become
          reconfigured into
          the sight and sound of you. I perceive

what eludes me, despite
bemusement of logic. Somehow
lucid and somewhat lost, I see and hear
you move and speak (through me, to me).

          And were I to doubt the world
          considerably, perhaps
          I would cease
          to be an illusion, becoming real

as the ever anticipated whisper on my skin heralds
the shattering of my sanity's worth
of waiting.
